A magical celebration of hope, inspiration and survivorship, Project Pink’d rolled out the Pink’d carpet and once again broke records at their EXPOSED: It’s Personal 12th Annual Benefit on Friday. Held at the Embassy Suites La Vista, breast cancer survivors and supporters joined forces raising $550,000 in just a few hours.
Sponsored by CHI Health, the event included a live and silent auction, survivor ceremony, Gifts of Hope paddle raise, and the reveal of thriving survivors. Embracing the organizations What’s Raised Here Stays Here philosophy, all proceeds from the evening will directly benefit survivors in Nebraska and Western Iowa, providing much-needed financial support through Helping Hand grants and complimentary survivorship programs addressing real issues faced after a breast cancer diagnosis.
Despite the challenges faced this year, Project Pink’d continued to stay true to their mission, keeping breast cancer survivors at the heart of Project Pink’d and serving over 5,500 survivors in Nebraska and Western Iowa.
“We have an organization where thriving in tough circumstances isn’t just a slogan, it’s a way of life. Our volunteers were committed to continuing the mission. Plus, and more importantly, we’re supported by our great community, sponsors and donors that believe in our mission and what we offer to our survivor base, “stated Cynthia Sturgeon, Project Pink’d Founder & President.
