Description: We provide support, education, and empowerment so that cancer survivors and their caregivers may create their best lives. When our founders first envisioned A Time to Heal Foundation, it was very personal for both of them. Dr. Stephanie Koraleski is an oncology psychologist who helped her mother fight cancer. Dr. Kay Ryan is a breast cancer survivor. As a nurse and trainer, Kay sought rehabilitation after her treatment, only to find nothing existed. In 2005, the two leaders joined forces to create programming that would grow into the A Time to Heal Foundation that we know today.

Description: Casting for Recovery (CfR) provides healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer, at no cost to the participants. CfR’s retreats offer opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life, and experience healing connections with other women and nature. The retreats are open to women with breast cancer of all ages, in all stages of treatment and recovery. For over 25 years, women from all walks of life have benefitted from CfR’s inspiring program model.

Description: Every Woman Matters (EWM) is a federally funded program that pays for office visits associated with Pap tests, pelvic exams, clinical breast exams and lab fees. Age appropriate mammography is covered as well as a limited number of diagnostic tests. EWM provides services to medically under-served women 35-74. EWM provides screening and diagnostic tests, public education, professional education and training, surveillance, evaluation and quality assurance activities.

Description: For the Girls helps women in northeast Nebraska win the fight against breast cancer by supporting their medical, emotional, and educational needs. We accomplish this by providing funds to enhance services through area health care providers and supporting research.
Organization: My Sister’s Keeper

Description: My Sister's Keeper is the first and only support group for women of color who have been diagnosed with breast cancer based in Omaha Nebraska. My Sister's Keeper provides support, advocacy and education regarding breast cancer as it relates to women of color. My Sister's Keeper provides as safe environment where women of color can share their survival stories, learn about their treatment options, and find allies in their battle against breast cancer.

Description: Pink Bandana is a nonprofit organization that focuses on women that are 40 and under. We want women to realize that they are not too young to ignore any signs. We want them to be vigilant of the signs, not worried, but vigilant, so that if something comes up it can be addressed early. Early diagnosis will give them a much better chance at beating cancer.
Our goal is to help more women realize that they are not too young to have breast cancer through communication and events that are fun and entertaining. We also want to help families with their financial needs when we can. Each year we pick three recipients to receive special funds that they can use however they determine necessary. We also have an annual $4000 scholarship that we give away to a family with a mother or guardian who has been battling breast cancer.
